Some action movies make me admire the stunt team. The greatest action thrillers make me forget there is a stunt team. I stop thinking about choreography, editing, camera placement, any of it. I am simply trapped in the car, the building, the tunnel, the checkpoint, the bank, desperately calculating whether the person I care about has one decent option left.
