Fantasy films used to mean armies and prophecies to me, castles and chosen ones, the something that needed a map in the front of the book just to keep track of everyone. Somewhere in the last decade, though, the best fantasy movies have started touching upon human emotions like grief, memory, a father trying to say goodbye to his own life's work, etc.
