The Fire-Type is one of the most popular in the Pokémon mainline games, with the type hosting some of the most capable battlers in the series. Although they can be fairly versatile, Fire-type Pokémon are traditionally great attackers with extra strength due to their dual typings. Many extra types help cover Fire's very clear weaknesses, creating a balance that has led to some of the strongest Pokémon in the series.
