Most people know William Shatner as Star Trek's Captain Kirk (and Admiral Kirk, as he was known for the first four Star Trek films.) But truthfully, Shatner has an impressive body of work outside of Star Trek that doesn’t get the same recognition. He had a prominent role as attorney Denny Crane in Boston Legal, the 2004-2008 spin-off of The Practice, he hosted the reality series Rescue 911 for 7 seasons, played the scene-stealing veteran MC Stan Fields in 2000's Miss Congeniality, and had a guest star role in Police Squad!. One of his most successful post-Star Trek projects is the largely-forgotten T.J. Hooker, a 5-season police procedural that deserves to be remembered, and is available to stream on Tubi.
