Stories in anime are generally told in multiple interconnected segments, often called arcs. Each arc is unique and serves an important purpose. They could aim to provide character development, cover defining moments, or perform various other functions. Although a lot of the most famous arcs belong to older titles, many modern ones have also earned a seat at the table.
