Every video game that comes out doesn't just magically innovate in everything they do; instead, they take inspiration from other titles that did something well and then builds something entirely new. These select titles are referred to as blueprints, with a couple of examples being The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which pioneered the fantasy genre.
