There are as many action classics as there are bullets spent in those films. Decades worth of explosions, gunfights, car chases, and the like have given fans of the genre a veritable action buffet of options to choose from. Not all action classics are created equal, though, and many that once might have been considered the masterpieces of the genre have since been eclipsed, sometimes by their very own sequels or remakes. The truest action classics have never wavered, though.
