Bhojpuri film superstar Pawan Singh has once again been embroiled in controversy. Recently, a video went viral on social media, in which he was seen behaving inappropriately with Haryanvi actress Anjali Raghav on stage. The incident took place during a cultural event, where both the artists were invited as special guests. In the video, Pawan Singh was seen touching Anjali's waist and saying "something is stuck". Anjali immediately got uncomfortable and said "there is nothing", but despite this Pawan Singh continued his act. The audience trolled the entire incident. After the matter grew, Anjali Raghav released a video on social media. In it, she clearly said that even though she did not get much time to react on stage, she did not like what happened at all. She said, "I have been very disturbed for the past two days. I am continuously getting DMs asking why I didn't say anything, why I didn't take any action, why I didn't slap, regarding the Lucknow incident. And some people are even blaming me; on some memes they are writing, 'She was laughing, she was enjoying it.' Do you think I would feel happy or enjoy being touched in public like that?"

Women's Commission to examine Pawan Singh's controversy

The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) took this entire controversy seriously and sent it to the National Commission for Women. The association wrote in its letter that this behavior of Pawan Singh, it stated, "This is not right behaviour towards women. It insults women and raises serious questions on the credibility of the film industry." Amidst the increasing criticism, Pawan Singh apologized through a post on social media, saying, "If still someone felt wrong then I apologise."

Despite the apology, the controversy does not seem to stop. The matter has now reached the Women's Commission and the commission is going to investigate it in detail. Also, due to the Bihar assembly elections being near, this entire episode has also taken a political color.
